In the complexities of modern day life I often draw on my 2 years Voluntary Work (VSO) in Northern Ghana where the simple and stark realities of life make it obvious what's important. In developing countries maintenance really is a matter of life and death and the role of maintenance in keeping things going and retaining value could not be more obvious.

I've spent my life seeking simplicity and clarity, the first 15 years in IT in the mistaken belief that technology by itself makes life and business simpler. Having developed solutions and run IT departments large and small, I then wanted to checkout the receiving end of technology, the users and the business. I became a consultant Director at PriceWaterHouseCoopers and helped lead change for governments, corporates such as Levi's and Diageo and smaller businesses.
Then I saw the light.


Real change and genuine innovation rarely come from big organisations; to make things happen you have to do it yourself and that's what I did. Fanatical about empowering good people I created a company that encourages freedom, innovation and passion in work. Considering we spend over 30% of our lives at work we really have a duty to make sure that it's meaningful, that it makes a difference to all involved and that it provides personal satisfaction.
