Revenue and Capex
Nickleby's systems allow for simple allocation of payments to Revenue or Capital Expenditure budget lines, increasing the usefulness of management reports and compliance with HMRC rules.
Nickleby's Emergense software is designed to make your life easier. We work with you to assign completed works to specific budget codes that make it simple to see what's being spent from the Revenue and Capital accounts.
We can also work with you to make sure that any capitalisation rules that you observe as a business are also fed through to your parts and equipment buying. For example, in helping to account for when you replace a part (and so extend the lifespan of a piece of equipment) rather than replacing with an entirely new machine or item.
There are other ways we can help you manage your budgets too - when a reactive (usually 'revenue') job is scheduled too close to a PPM (often 'capital') we can defer one in favour of the other, or simply advise how much of the Capital budget has already been spent when a quote for works arrives for approval.
That's why we use context-sensitive, menu-driven choices, so that complex accounting rules can be applied without effort, consistently throughout your maintenance operation.
