Will expert's comments inspire firms using facilities management to maximise marketing potential?

September 2nd 16:23 Cost Management

UK businesses that are using facilities management cost reduction process to boost their profits could be among those encouraged by one expert's comments to increase their marketing activity.

Geoff Ramm, a leading observational marketing specialist, has said that a typical trait of small businesses in the UK is that they "undersell" themselves when it comes to marketing.

The expert said that despite offering quality goods and services, many businesses are "let down" by their brand image.

"People do judge a book by its cover and we do judge a business on its proposal, how it's delivered and how it looks," he told AccoutingWeb.

"For example, if you're handing out rubbish-looking business card at events, what does that say about your business? Even when budgets are tight, it's crucial to ensure you have the best materials and maintain a professional image at all times."

Mr Ramm claimed firms should look to be "constantly visible" in their given market and said that marketing and promotion can no longer be considered just once every quarter.
