Will firms using cost reduction techniques benefit from Olympic preparation event?

London-based businesses using facilities management cost reduction processes could be among those to benefit from a forthcoming Olympic Games preparation event.

The City of London Corporation, Frontier Technology and Citrix have announced that they are set to hold a meeting to discuss how firms can make sure the Games do not have a negative impact on their revenues.

On September 2nd, the bodies will hold the second in a series of events, which saw businesses discuss concerns about how transport, security and other issues will be affected by the 300,000 foreign visitors expected to descend on the capital for the 2012 event.

Edwin Wong, managing director of Frontier Technology, explained: "Looking back at other major events and the associated disruption, it is important to plan for any eventuality.

"Remote working and a seamless business continuity plan are essential measures for firms to safeguard their data and ensure maintained business continuity."
