Will expert's comments inspire firms using facilities management to plan ahead?

June 17th 16:56 Cost Management

A number of businesses using facilities management cost reduction processes could be encouraged to make changes to their operations ahead of next week's emergency Budget following comments made by one financial expert.

According to Edward Rimmer, UK chief executive at Bibby Financial Services, companies that make changes in anticipation of new government measures will be best placed to cope once the announcement has been made.

According to Mr Rimmer, the chancellor is likely to announce a variety of spending cuts as well as changes to tax breaks and funding options for businesses in the June 22nd Budget.

"Taking steps to improve cash flow can reap considerable benefits during these unpredictable times and businesses should not wait to see the content of the emergency Budget to address these issues," he explained.

"Firms should be identifying where cash is tied up now to spot potential 'bottlenecks' and act to reduce their impact."ADNFCR-2717-ID-19844071-ADNFCR
