Could property maintenance complement new carbon reduction programmes?

May 5th 16:21 Cost Management

Retailers and other businesses using facilities management cost reduction services could be set to benefit from the launch of new carbon reduction programmes.

Greenstone Carbon Management (GCM), a carbon solutions specialist, has teamed up with carbon-related solutions provider Camco in order to offer the energy-efficient product.

According to the firms, businesses adopting the new solution will be able to monitor, manage and reduce their energy use.

The accuracy of the product, which uses GCM and Camco software and advisory services, will also offer businesses cost effectiveness, the firm said.

Matthew de Villiers, chief executive at GCM, said: "Many franchises want to reduce their carbon footprint and their energy consumption but are finding it difficult to put practical and technical solutions in place that are cost effective for their business.

"Added to that challenge the franchise model makes it difficult to get everyone on board internally if return on investment is not demonstrated quickly and so our new online service addresses both those points in a simple way."
