Could facilities management software and new bookkeeping solution help firms reduce costs?

British businesses using facilities management software in a bid to reduce their operating costs could achieve even greater efficiency with a new bookkeeping solution.

Intuit, a financial management specialist, has announced that the latest version of its QuickBooks product is now available in the UK.

The software solution, which now includes an improved VAT calculation tool, has been created to deliver a "quick and easy" approach to bookkeeping.

Pernille Bruun-Jensen, managing director of Intuit UK, commented: "Our ongoing collaboration with UK small businesses shows that the paperwork associated with VAT returns is considered to be a significant burden.

"We designed the new VAT features to minimise administration time and help small businesses meet tax requirements and possible changes in an easy and straightforward fashion."

A recently-published survey of Intuit clients revealed that 80 per cent of QuickBooks users found the solution helped save them time when processing their accounts.
