Government energy initiatives are a 'positive' step

April 6th 08:48 Cost Management

Government initiatives offering businesses the chance to earn money by creating excess energy have been described as a "positive" step by the Renewable Energy Centre.co.uk.

A spokesperson for the organisation said: "This is one of the most positive initiatives which the government has implemented and one which will encourage businesses to invest because of the potential financial rewards.

"The schemes serve the interests of both businesses and consumers and are a positive driver towards ensuring the UK can actually meet its 2015 and 2020 targets."

It follows the April 1st launch of Feed-in Tariffs, which will see businesses and homeowners paid money for every unit of electricity they generate through implementing energy saving devices to their properties.

Firms will also benefit from reduced energy bills, which could lead to a boost in profit margins.

Another way for companies to manage their costs is through the use of an effective facilities management provider.
