Further health and safety advice given to Scottish firms

November 3rd 09:48 Health and Safety

Scottish firms may soon be enjoying enhanced facilities management processes as a result of improved health and safety practices, thanks to an event in Fife.

Hosted by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), the showcase, which is being held today (November 3rd) has practical elements and aims to reduce the death toll in the country's construction sector.

According to the HSE, the event will be of particular use to people who are self-employed and those who operate small construction firms, due to the fact that it will offer practical advice about how to mitigate risks associated with groundworks.

Commenting, Grahame Barn, director of the Federation of Master Builders in Scotland, said: "These days are designed to encourage operators to ask questions and witness best practice being demonstrated in a number of common construction site scenarios."

Another similar event taking place today, which is also hosted by the HSE, is at Janetstown Industrial Estate in Thurso.ADNFCR-2717-ID-19441318-ADNFCR
