Work to live, live to work - how do you find the right balance? It's a question we all ask ourselves at some stage in our working lives, very few of us find the right answer...

Does working for Nickleby fit this category? Definitely not. It was their creativity; their energy and determination to do things differently, effectively and simply that persuaded this Northern lad to keep his flat cap hung, his ferrets caged and join a business that genuinely delivers what it says on the tin.

So, what's my mission? Well, a background in Retail as Director of Store Development for One Stop Convenience Stores and in Contracting/Maintenance as Managing Director Of Coldservice Ltd has enabled me to see both sides of the fence.

I want to use and share this knowledge and experience to develop and implement the Nickleby Contracting Network, a new approach that releases Maintenance Contractors from the unnecessary barriers that impede their business.

Shackled. Barrier. Release. Dramatic words, but from experience, I know that most Maintenance Contractors are in one way or another prevented them from enjoying sustainable growth (if they want it) and sustainable profitability (which we all want).

Nickleby delivers to contractors by freeing them to get on with their business. The Nickleby Contracting Network is raising the bar by using a mix of software, people and process (Emergense®) to deliver precision and efficiency, which translates into growth and sustainable profit.
